Weapons Systems Acquisition Advice for an Asian Customer

August 1st, 2018

The Republic of South Korea Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA), seeking to expand its national defense posture, hired MCR for advice on procuring fighter aircraft. Justified by our long-term experience with international defense agencies, and our contemporary understanding of the international aerospace market-place, MCR was engaged to conduct a cost-benefit analysis of the world’s leading fighter aircraft which would satisfy Korea’s specific operational requirements and limited acquisition budget.

This analysis was enriched by our earlier acquisition support to government acquisition agencies in the US, UK, Germany, and Japan, as well as our engineering support to aerospace manufactures such as Lockheed, Boeing, Airbus, Northrop Grumman, Aerospatiale, Sikorsky, L3, and General Dynamics.

Subsequently, Korea hired MCR to conduct a similar cost-benefit analysis for aerial refueling tanker aircraft.
