August 28th, 2018
The Tellus Development Team is working with the U.S. Space and Rocket Center (USSRC) to accommodate and upgrade to their training systems by adding a Lunar Rover training system for students who attend the coveted Space Camp in Huntsville AL.
The MCR Solutions Software Development team has created a digital replica of the Curiosity Rover vehicle which maneuvers across the surface of the moon. Here students will interact with a lunar base and explore geological samples from the moon’s surface. This trainer system will all tie into Rocket City’s 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 Lunar landing on the moon on 16 July 2019. The team is in the final stages to releasing the software application in preparations for instructors to begin learning the new Lunar Rover Training system.
