Technical Assessment
What are your engineering and performance challenges and are you positioned to overcome them?
With competitive pressures rising, you have important choices to make – requirements, processes, technologies, business and more. It is for this reason programs need to address not only cost and schedule assessments, but technical assessments as well. MCR conducts formal technical assessments of processes, technologies, and practices to aid the Program Manager in ensuring their program is getting maximum value. Our services provide insight into the program’s strengths, weaknesses, and identify areas of concern.
MCR has conducted hundreds of assessments to include requirements, reliability, availability, performance, security, operations, administration, and maintenance. These assessments have helped the program manager ensure completeness, understand the technical choices, and prioritize areas of concern. In addition, MCR can help the program manager save time and money by performing operational assessments that are end-to-end examinations of each project with a focus on recommendations to improve project success. These assessment areas can include: root cause analysis, performance engineering, integration planning, and end user support. If a problem has already been discovered, our root cause analysis focuses on a specific problem or set of problems to determine why problems were introduced, when in the development process they occurred; and how to improve your processes to minimize or prevent similar problems from recurring in the future. Under more desirable circumstances, MCR draws upon our broad and deep program experience to identify where the pitfalls exist and how to avoid them.
MCR can provide the services needed to help the decision-maker understand the right approach to producing, acquiring, and integrating systems or programs. We have experience in applying techniques and technologies proven to work throughout the industry to set the stage for improved performance, reduced costs, and high quality.
