Schedule Analysis
Critical timeline support for enhanced decision-making
To make informed, confident management decisions, you need a reliable program schedule that takes into account the many variables and risk factors that could impact schedule performance. MCR develops, maintains and analyzes schedules that are fully integrated into risk and Earned Value Management (EVM) systems. Our Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) ensure you receive useful and timely working schedules for enhanced visibility and control. Decades of technical expertise combined with our disciplined, proven process for identifying critical risks enable us to create real-time schedules for high-level decision-making.
Innovative five-step process
- Evaluate the scope of work. MCR experts evaluate your program’s statement of work (SOW), work breakdown structure (WBS), contractual documents and other critical performance requirements.
- Develop an Integrated Master Plan (IMP). Based on the program requirements, we develop an IMP that identifies key events and significant accomplishment criteria. If an IMP already exists at the contract level MCR confirms that it is complete and consistent with respect to the program’s requirements and then adds in the non-contract efforts which are necessary to execute the program.
- Develop an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS). The IMS provides a complete panoramic picture of your program, reflecting its entire scope as well as all requirements and objectives to be fulfilled.
- Verify accuracy throughout the schedule. Our innovative use of schedule forensics throughout this process ensures that all information within the IMS is useful and accurate
- Manage visibility continuously. Continuous schedule management techniques provide decision-makers with the critical information they need to make key tradeoffs that affect the program.
This disciplined, proven process results in a quality networked schedule that: 1.) provides real-time management visibility; 2.) enables schedule analysis and reporting at various levels of detail (from summary to detail level drill-down); and 3.) supports cost analyses, risk analyses and an integrated Earned Value Management System (EVMS). Because our process is flexible and scalable, we can easily adopt our approach to match your processes and program’s unique needs.
